Azuma Murasaki means “Purple of the East” and Azuma Murasaki Japanese Maple brings vivid color to the landscape. New leaves emerge purplish in the spring, turning green with red lacing in summer and finally turning bright crimson red in the fall. This little treasure forms an upright rounded canopy of deeply cut lacy foliage and contrasts nicely with other red forms. It will show more green in shadier locations and more red with some sun.
