A large shade tree well suited to large yards and park like spaces, Bur Oak has glossy green deeply lobed foliage and forms a wide spreading canopy. Native to central and eastern North America, this majestic tree has fissured gray bark and unique flattened acorns with fuzzy looking cups. One of the most cold tolerant US native oaks, it is also drought tolerant once established and adaptable to many soils including clay.
