Developed by the National Arboretum in Washington, D.C., ‘Cherokee’ Crape Myrtle forms a rounded canopy of glossy green foliage, abundant dark pink/red blooms and light gray brown bark. Resistant to powdery mildew and drought tolerant once established, ‘Cherokee’ Crape Myrtle is tough and adaptable. Sun loving and resistant to heat, it makes an ideal specimen accent and looks beautiful in a courtyard or border.
