Ideal as a vertical accent or medium height screen or windbreak, the ‘Fastigiata’ selection of Eastern White Pine forms an upright narrow canopy of finely textured needles. Branches begin forming three feet above ground and extend upward in a columnar habit. Short enough to grow beneath utility lines, it is an adaptable tree with many uses in the landscape. Intolerant of heavy pollution, it is best grown away from city streets and urban freeways.
