Little Gem Magnolia is a popular smaller sized Magnolia with all the beauty of a giant. Blooming at a young age, its fragrant cup shaped flowers reach 5-6″ in diameter. With an upright columnar canopy of glossy dark green leaves, Little Gem is versatile in the landscape and can be useful as a hedge or screen. Tolerant of damp soil, it can be grown in partial shade but will grow more quickly, produce more flowers and maintain a denser canopy in full sun. Resistant to pests and disease, Little Gem is also considered a firewise tree.
