Bacon Avocado is a fast-growing Mexican variety with smooth thin skin and dark green buttery fruit. Ready to harvest in mid to late winter, Bacon Avocado prefers rich, well draining soil. Suitable for planting in a large container or in ground, Bacon is a Type B flowering avocado and can be used to pollinate Type A avocados. Although they are self-pollinating, improved harvests can be achieved by planting at least one of each flower type.
