Quiver Tree is a beautiful South African tree aloe that forms a large single trunked specimen with many branching rosettes that create a rounded crown at the top. As older leaves fall off, a silvery skin on the trunk is revealed. Heat loving and tolerant of harsh sun, it prefers well drained soil and does well in sloped locations with excellent drainage. Intolerant of wet feet, it should be allowed to dry between waterings and should be kept out of cold winter rains. Cold hardy to 23F if kept dry.
Note: Although still commonly referred to as Aloe dichotoma in the nursery trade, the current accepted botanical classification for this species has changed to Aloidendron dichotomum
