Fockea is a collectors plant growing from an unusual swollen caudex which it uses to store water in dry conditions. Native to South Africa, its branches are long and vining with small green leaves. Ideal pruned small as a container specimen where it can be elevated and admired from multiple angles. Individual plants are either male or female. Both sexes produce small greenish white flowers in summer. Very tolerant of drought. Cold hardy to around 25F if kept dry in winter. Fockea is a toxic plant.
