Tom Knudsen Camellia has dark red formal blooms with fully double petals streaked with dark veining. Camellias bring color to the winter landscape and add interest to shaded areas. Suitable for planting on the north side of a house, under a large tree or in any spot protected from harsh afternoon sun. Like all Camellias, it prefers well drained rich soil and a deep mulch to keep its roots cool. Feed with an acid fertilizer after blooming.
