Nova Red Raspberry is a popular fresh market variety with medium sized red fruit and very few thorns. Self-pollinating and disease resistant, it is a midseason variety that bears fruit in May and June. Best in zones 3-9, but adaptable to zones 10-11 as well. Remove older canes after they have produced fruit for two years. Fertilize in spring before new growth begins.
