Considered by many to be the most beautiful native American tree, flowering dogwood forms an airy low branching canopy with clouds of showy flowers in the spring. Cherokee Brave® Dogwood has dark reddish pink flower bracts fading to white centers. It was bred to be slightly more drought tolerant than other dogwoods. Preferring rich, acidic soil, a 2-4 inch layer of mulch is recommended.
