Encephalartos lehmannii is a beautiful cycad native from South Africa. It has finely textured greenish blue leaves and is one of the more cold tolerant Encephalartos species. Well adapted to harsh dry summers as well as cool wet winters, it is long lived and responds well to soil that is fertile, slightly acidic and well drained. Seeds are poisonous.
