Creeping Fig is a perennial evergreen that spreads over vertical surfaces by adhering to walls and crevices, self-rooting as it grows. Not appropriate for growing against a house, but ideal for covering masonry and fence walls. Also very nice for creating topiaries, it will cover a wired form filled with soil and sphagnum moss. Adaptable to full sun in coastal conditions, it should be protected from harsh afternoon sun inland and will appreciate regular water and plenty of room to spread. It can be kept in bounds with regular trimming.
