A popular succulent, the name Pig’s Ear doesn’t do justice to its gorgeous silvery leaves and tall fountains of bell shaped apricot and orange flowers. Perfect for filling in difficult spots, it will form a compact mound that chokes out weeds and requires minimal water to put on a beautiful show. Native to South Africa, it blooms summer through fall. While not likely to survive a hard frost, this species is mildly frost tolerant. Good choice for firewise landscapes.
