Native to South Africa, Lion’s Tail forms tall woody stalks covered with stacking whorls of orange fuzzy flowers. Irresistible to hummingbirds and beneficial pollinators, this sun lover is an herbacious perennial that typically dies back in winter and regrows in spring. Fantastic at the back of the border, it makes an effective color accent or screen. Cut back spent stalks after blooming, otherwise it requires very little care. Drought tolerant once established.
