Tamukeyama Weeping Japanese Maple has deeply dissected leaves that range from bright red to purple red depending on the season and a mounded cascading form that is truly breathtaking in mature specimens. An ideal centerpiece in an Asian themed garden, and also well suited for large containers. Tamukeyama has waxy red bark that gives it seasonal interest, even after its leaves have fallen for winter. Japanese Maples require protection from harsh inland sun. They benefit from bright light in partially shaded locations, such as under the eave of a building, beneath a screened patio, or near the partial shade of a larger tree.
