Blue Potato Bush is fast growing tropical shrub with profuse vibrant purple blooms, each accented with bright yellow stamens. Beautiful as a foundation plant in a colorful border, they are a versatile accent that can be pruned back hard to maintain a moderate size and will become quite large if allowed to grow freely. Trainable as a small patio tree, they are sometimes seen as topiaries. Evergreen in mild climates, some branch die back may occur in cold winters. Although they prefer regular watering, Blue Potato Bush tolerates brief drought once established.
