Page hybrid citrus is considered one of the finest flavored citrus fruits around and is an interesting hybrid of Clementine Mandarin and Minneola Tangelo. Since Tangelo is a cross of Tangerine and Pummelo, and Clementines are a cross of Mandarin and Sweet Orange, Page is a complex citrus hybrid. It was originally released as an Orange but might be more accurately be described as a Tangelo. Regardless of what you call it, Page is a rare and special find for the home garden. The petite fruits have dark orange skin that’s easy to peel and rich, sweet flavor with lots of juice. Originally developed in Florida by the USDA in the 1940’s.
