One of the most heat tolerant of the Blue Fescues, Elijah Blue Fescue quickly forms small dense mounds of icy blue leaves. Beautiful in a rock garden, planted near boulders, or planted in mass as a ground cover. A cool season grass, it should be cut back to 3 or 4 inches in early spring to keep a neat appearance and encourage lush new growth. Tolerates moderate drought once established and achieves its best color in full sun. Must be planted in well drained soil.
