Kadota Fig is a self-fruitful variety with light skin and amber flesh. They can be pruned to any size and the versatile fruits are good for fresh eating, drying and making preserves. While very sweet, Kadota figs need hot weather to ripen. Figs are considered drought tolerant for fruit trees, however they do need regular deep watering especially during their first year when they are establishing roots.
