Blue Chiffon® Rose of Sharon is easy to care for with vigorous growth and lacy blue flowers. Forms an upright rounded shrub, Blue Chiffon® is heat tolerant and long blooming. Attractive to beneficial pollinators, this is a nice addition to the mixed border, and can also be used as a specimen plant for late summer interest. Excellent for hedging. Prune in early spring if desired. Can be heavily pruned, but this is not usually necessary. Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer formulated for trees and shrubs.
