An attractive upright evergreen with fragrant white flowers and small dark berries, Japanese Blueberry Tree is adaptable and easy to maintain. Excellent as a privacy screen, it is relatively pest and disease free. Noted for having non-staining berries, Japanese Blueberry Tree is attractive to bees, butterflies and birds. Older leaves turn orange before retiring, providing added interest in the landscape. When trained in a standard form, it forms a dense rounded canopy and makes a nice small to medium sized shade tree. Also trainable as a column, it is excellent along a fence or border.
