One of the largest of all the Australian Cycads, New South Wales Macrozamia is an impressive plant that forms a large trunk with an abundance of finely leaved palm-like fronds. Unlike other cycads, it produces leaves continuously not in flushes which is why it has a lovely full appearance. One of the most cold hardy cycads, it is suitable for planting in containers but will grow more quickly if planted in the ground. Like other cycads, New South Wales Macrozamia are either male or female and all parts of the plant are poisonous. Cold hardy to 15-20F.
