Native to Mexico and the tropical Americas, Mexican Bush Sage is a showy and carefree evergreen that makes an excellent screen or color accent in the waterwise landscape. A favorite of hummingbirds, it produces profuse purple flowers and an attractive mound of sage green foliage that remains evergreen in mild climates and may die back in freezing weather. Fast growing and sun loving, it prefers well drained soil and tolerates some drought once established.
