Dwarf Myrtle can be used as a substitute for boxwood. It has fine feathery foliage and makes small evergreen mounds that can be sheared and trained into low hedges, used in mixed plantings, grown as container accents or even trained as bonsai. Dwarf Myrtle differs from boxwood by having greater tolerance to cold and drought. Versatile, long lived and easy to care for.
