Bloodgood Sycamore, also known as London Planetree, is a popular shade and street tree. Fast growing and large when mature, it should be given ample space to grow. Bloodgood is considered an improved variety, selected for better disease resistance over other Sycamore varieties. Long lived, tall and pyramidal in form, Sycamores are not recommended for planting where fallen leaves will create unwanted messes, such as immediately over gutters, structures, pools or where vehicles are parked.
