Native to the Sonoran Desert, Saguaro Cactus is perhaps the most iconic cactus and a must have in every collection. Known for its giant upright form and skyward reaching arms, it is slow growing and most specimens remain small enough to grow in containers for many years. Protected in the wild, commercial plants must be seed grown. In ideal hot summer, cool winter conditions, they may grow up to 12″ per year. Shallow rooted, excellent drainage is needed to prevent rot. Frost tolerant to the high teens.
