Society Garlic is a clumping evergreen with narrow blue green grass like leaves and small umbels of trumpet shaped lavender flowers held on tall narrow stalks. Excellent as a low border plant and an accent in rock gardens and near water features. When disturbed, the leaves have a strong garlic scent that acts as a deterrent to slugs, snails, cats and deer. While some people find the scent pleasant, others do not and prefer not to plant it too close to entries. Easy to care for and drought tolerant once established.
