Tropical in appearance, they are prized for their showy evergreen leaves and grow large enough to form a screen or lush backdrop. Preferring bright filtered light, Philodendron is ideal for a protected patio with dappled shade. Also excellent as a container plant or indoors in an atrium. Reliably cold hardy to 25F with newer leaves dying back at 20F. Prefers rich soil and regular fertilizing throughout the growing season.
