White Australian Racer is a popular ground cover that is native to Australia and is well adapted to drought. A favorite in coastal conditions due to tolerance of sea spray, it is also a good choice inland where it adapts to high heat. Spreading by runners, it forms a dense emerald green carpet of small leaves and white flowers. Fast growing and easy to care for, it is excellent for hillsides and will creep over boulders and form a cascade of foliage. Prefers well drained soils and regular water during the first growing season. Once established it can tolerate periods of drought.
