Yellow Bird Magnolia is a hybrid selection known for beautiful canary yellow flowers on a stately pyramidal tree. Introduced by the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, it combines some of the best features of US native magnolias and Asiatic species. Its glowing blooms measure 3 1/2 inches across and are less likely to be damaged by frost due to emerging later in the spring after the coldest weather has passed. Fast growing, easy to care for and not known to be susceptible to disease or pests.
