African Candelabra is a massive tree Euphorbia that is native to Yemen and Saudi Arabia. Architectural in appearance its upright branches are each edged with short sharp spines. A fast grower, it needs plenty of space and should be planted away from areas with high foot traffic. All parts of Euphorbia are toxic and the milk like sap created from cutting or breaking the branches can be irritating to the skin. Prefers well drained soil and protection from hard frosts. Will regrow new branches profusely if minor cold damage occurs.
