Tough and adaptable, Squid Agave is named for its tentacle like leaves that curve outward from a central rosette. Unlike many agaves it is spineless, giving it a friendlier more succulent feel and appearance. The bright green foliage brings a tropical lushness to the waterwise landscape. Excellent in borders and containers. It is especially useful on hillsides and in dry locations that are not frequently irrigated. Over time it will form wide clumps with many squid shaped plants. When flowering is complete, the plant will end its life cycle and slowly die replacing itself with the new plants that have grown around it. Cold hardy to 10-15F.
