Agave parryi truncata forms a flower-like rosette of beautiful compact leaves, often referred to as “Artichoke Agave” for its resemblance to an artichoke. An extremely desirable variety, Agave parryi truncata is tough, beautiful and tolerant of drought and sun. Like all agaves, at the end of its life cycle, which lasts many years, this plant will form a tall tree like bloom stalk before dying. By this time, it will have produced several clonal offsets to replace itself. Plant in well drained soil, cold tolerant to 10-15F.
