Hercules Aloe is a giant hybrid tree aloe with faster growth and greater cold tolerance than either of its parent species. As a younger plant, it will form a sturdy straight trunk with a single head of smooth gray green leaves. As it matures it will eventually grow into a multi-branched full sized tree. A true statement plant in the dry garden, it should be situated with ample room to grow. Hercules Aloe is cold hardy to 20-25F and like all aloes prefers well drained soil and does not tolerate wet feet. Hybrid selection of Aloe barberae and Aloe dichotoma.
