Chinese Fringe Flower is a compact evergreen shrub with showy colorful foliage and fringe like flowers that resemble exploding fireworks. Blooming off and on throughout the year, it can be grown as a standard shrub or trained as a small container tree. Adaptable to both sun and shade, it prefers rich humus based soil and a slightly acidic pH. Performs best with regular water although it does tolerate light drought once established.

Black Bamboo is a stunning and rare ornamental bamboo with stems that turn black in their second and third growing years. The dark color contrasts attractively with the green foliage making an exotic statement in the garden. Ideal as a windbreak or privacy screen, Black Bamboo is slow to spread at first but should still be contained to prevent underground runners from spreading beyond where it is wanted. Mexican Feather Grass is a US native grass that forms attractive mounds of airy leaves and attractive flower plumes that sway gracefully in the lightest breeze. The wispy foliage is a soft textural accent in containers and borders. Drought tolerant once established, it is easy to care for and looks wonderful in rock gardens. May reseed and spread aggressively. Should not be planted near riparian areas or sensitive habitats.
